YWT aims to keep domain pricing simple and transparent. This page explains how pricing is structured, what you pay for different operations, and where to find the most up-to-date prices.

Pricing structure

Domain pricing at YWT is based on three factors:

1. The TLD — Different top-level domains (.ch, .li, etc.) have different base costs set by the registry.
2. The operation — Registration, renewal, and transfer each have their own price point.
3. The registration period — Prices are listed per year. The checkout summary shows the exact term before payment.

All prices include the registry fee. There are no hidden surcharges or setup costs.

.ch and .li pricing

As a Swiss registrar, YWT specializes in .ch and .li domains. These are the most commonly registered TLDs on the platform.

This page shows live pricing for supported TLDs, including registration, renewal, and transfer fees. You can also see pricing during the checkout process when you register or transfer a domain.

What is included

Every domain registered or transferred to YWT includes the following at no extra cost:

• DNS management — Full DNS hosting with support for the record types listed in the DNS record types reference.
• DNSSEC — Optional DNSSEC signing to protect your domain from DNS spoofing.
• Email notifications — Renewal reminders before expiration.
• Auto-renew — Automatic renewal to prevent accidental domain loss.
• Domain management — Control over nameservers, DNS records, DNSSEC, renewal settings, and transfer-out requests from your account.

There are no monthly fees for DNS hosting or domain management. You only pay for the domain registration or renewal itself.

Payment methods

YWT shows the currently available payment methods during checkout. Supported methods may vary depending on Stripe configuration and account billing settings.

Payment is collected at the time of registration, renewal, or transfer. For auto-renewals, your default payment method is charged automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Are there any setup fees? No. You pay only the registration or renewal price. DNS hosting and all management features are included.

Do transfer fees include a renewal? Transfer pricing is shown before checkout. Check the pricing page and order summary for the current transfer terms.

Can I get a refund if I cancel a domain? Domain registrations are generally non-refundable because the registry fee is paid immediately upon registration. Contact YWT support if you have questions about a specific situation.

Why can TLD prices differ? Each TLD is managed by a registry that sets its own wholesale pricing. YWT adds a margin on top of the registry cost, so .ch and .li can have different prices.

Do prices change when I renew? Renewal prices are based on the current rate at the time of renewal, not the rate you originally paid. If a registry increases its prices, renewal costs may go up accordingly. You will always see the exact price before confirming a renewal.
